Our Story
1987
We were born from a very small home operation by Ruth in the 80’s. Her strong eye, ability to create and an education in graphic design was the perfect platform to establish herself.
2000
Selfridges approached Ruth to open a bespoke design studio within their flagship store, and the turning point in our success begins…. the team began to grow and with a combination of seriously hard work and innovative design, she proudly rose to become the ultimate purveyor of luxury invitations and stationery.
2007
After 7 years of hard work, we had out grown our roots. Doors opened to the public in 2007, from our (very) small but perfectly formed design studio in Primrose Hill.
2010
Bigger and better …. our custom-built design studio opened just around the corner from the first with on-site production capabilities and STORAGE. We fast became a destination for all stationery addicts and lovers of design and print.
2015
Our second outlet opens in the prestigious and sought after Wedding Gallery in Marylebone, offering a wedding department store in the heart of London. The first of its kind, we were proud to be one of 3 stationers at the launch event and sat alongside such talent as Elie Saab and Vera Wang.
The here and now
After a flood in 2019, we are currently completing the renovating our Primrose Hill studio. However, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic we were devastated to have to put the building work on hold until this all blows over :(
Our future is bright
Our aim is to sustain our current reign as the top bespoke stationer in the country by continuing to offer the best in design, quality and service …. whilst retaining a smile and personality :) This year we are working towards developing our retail range of stationery and increasing our social media presence.
The Team
Our design team offers over 100 years of collective experience in stationery design. Everything we create is distinctive, unique and luxurious and we are deep rooted, self-confessed ‘stationery geeks’.

Meet our team
Ruth
Our founder…. In 1987, Ruth started the business from a small home set up. After working in PR and with a degree in graphics, she is a pure, unique and creative genius. Now with over 25 years experience under her belt she offers a wealth of creative (and life) guidance and is also the best trouble shooter there is. Day to day, Ruth develops new concepts and heads up projects and exciting brand collaborations.
Sophie
As Ruth’s daughter, Sophie’s natural creative flare was a welcome addition to the business in 2000, heading up the design team. Sophie has a degree in ceramics and three dimensional design and specialises in inspiring, innovating and bringing people’s visions to life. No matter the brief, every project will be styled to perfection, with her amazing ability to guarantee all details sit perfectly within a space, wrapped up in an incredible colour pallet.
Charlotte
Charlotte joined our team 10 years ago with a love of design and to spearhead business development. Now with a decade of experience in the industry coupled with her previous experience in luxury food and fashion. She will always brings a fresh and unique overview to the table and a fun and lively meeting. From a design or client perspective, she will ensure things run smoothly and every detail will be tailored to perfection.
Carola
Carola is our digital wonder, graphics queen and a key player in the team. Her love for travel combined with her structured skills brings a real creative flair to all aspects of her work. She runs a guest lists like a boss, and will always go the extra mile to make sure a job is completed perfectly and to time.
Sarah
Sarah has worked with our RKD family for over 15 years now and splits her time between London and her spirit home, Sicily. She keeps our studios in tip top order, along with running the accounts. In her spare time, she can occasionally be found with the hand finishers, unable to resist involvement in the creative side of the business too!
